Connect Raisely
Sync donations, donors, and recurring subscriptions from Raisely. Auth is an API key; once connected, Raisely pushes updates to Together via webhooks.
Raisely is the second supported upstream CRM. Unlike NationBuilder, Raisely pushes updates to Together via webhooks the moment something happens, so syncs land near-instantly. A 15-minute reconcile pass runs in the background as a safety net.
New orgs created via /get-started can connect Raisely inline
as Step 2 of the funnel. This page is for adding a Raisely integration later,
or re-connecting after rotating the API key.
Before you start
You need:
- ADMIN role on your org.
- A Raisely organisation you administer.
- Your Raisely Campaign Private Key. Despite the name, this key is organisation-scoped, not campaign-scoped, and one key works across every campaign in your Raisely org.
- No other CRM connected (NationBuilder). Together enforces one CRM per org; disconnect the other CRM first if needed.
Find your Raisely key
- Sign into Raisely.
- Go to Settings -> Developers in the Raisely admin.
- Generate a new private key if you don't already have one. Copy it; you'll paste it into Together next.
- Keep this key secret. Anyone holding it can read and write your Raisely data.
Connect from Together
-
Go to Settings -> Integrations and find the Raisely card.
Settings > Integrations. -
Paste your Raisely API key into the Raisely API key field.
-
Click Test connection first. Together calls Raisely's authenticate endpoint and reports back which Raisely organisation the key belongs to. Confirm it matches the org you expected.
-
Click Connect Raisely. Together stores the key (encrypted), provisions a webhook on the Raisely side, and starts the initial backfill.
-
The card shows the connection status:
- Syncing during the initial backfill. Donations and donors flow in as Together walks your history.
- Connected once backfill is complete and the webhook is registered. Future donations and updates flow in within seconds.
- Error if webhook provisioning failed. Reconnect, or contact support if it keeps failing.
Live vs. test data
Raisely tags every donation as either LIVE or TEST based on the campaign's mode. Together's Raisely card has a Mode filter dropdown:
- Live donations only (default). Test donations are still imported but excluded from cap and disclosure tracking.
- Live and test donations. Both count toward cap and disclosure totals. Useful for staging, rare in production.
You can change the mode filter at any time; the change applies on the next sync.
If it doesn't connect
- "Authentication failed" on test. The key is wrong or expired. Regenerate in Raisely, paste fresh.
- Test passes but Connect shows Error. Webhook provisioning failed. Most common cause: your Raisely plan doesn't include webhooks (Raisely Pro and above). Talk to Raisely support.
- Donations stop arriving suddenly. Raisely silently revoked the webhook (this happens occasionally after Raisely-side changes). Disconnect and reconnect; the 15-minute reconcile cron also catches missed events as a backstop.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect Raisely on the card. Historical donors and donations are preserved; future webhooks and reconcile syncs stop. The webhook on the Raisely side is removed.
Disconnecting is required before connecting NationBuilder.
