Keep NationBuilder.
Add Australian compliance.
NationBuilder runs your supporters, your lists, and your organising. It wasn’t built to track Australian electoral donation caps or disclosure obligations. That’s the one job Together does on top. Connect your nation, and every donation is checked against the caps and disclosure thresholds that apply to you.
One connection. No exports. No developer time.
Connect your nation
A one-click, official OAuth connection to your NationBuilder nation. No API tokens to copy and no nightly spreadsheet exports.
- Authorised through NationBuilder’s own login
- Connect or disconnect any time from settings
- Nothing installed inside your control panel
We read your donations
Together reads your donation records from NationBuilder on a schedule, then keeps in step as new gifts land. Your supporters and your nation stay exactly where they are.
- Incremental sync: only what changed
- Donor records matched across all your sources
- A compliance ledger that traces back to each gift
Compliance runs
Every donation is evaluated against the caps, disclosure thresholds, and foreign-donor rules that apply to your organisation. The alerts and disclosure reports are assembled for you.
- Cap proximity flagged before a breach
- Disclosure crossings assembled automatically
- Every figure auditable back to the original donation
Your tracking codes come across with the gift.
NationBuilder already tags every donation with the tracking code, source, or appeal it came in on. Together reads those codes as they are, so your attribution carries straight through. You don’t re-tag, re-bucket, or re-categorise a single transaction to get clean, source-attributed compliance figures. The campaign that raised the money is the campaign on the report.
NationBuilder is a great CRM. It is not an electoral commission.
A $50,000 annual cap, per donor.
From 2027, federal donations are capped per donor per year. NationBuilder records the gift; it doesn’t total a donor’s giving against a legal ceiling. Together does, and flags the donor before they cross it.
Cap monitoringThe $5,000 line, aggregated.
The disclosure threshold is per donor, per year, not per gift. Four donations under the line can add up to a reportable total. Together aggregates across the whole year and assembles the disclosure for you.
Disclosure trackingForeign gifts you can’t accept.
Foreign donations above $100 are prohibited. Together screens for foreign-source exposure as the donation arrives, so it’s caught at the time, not months later.
Foreign-donor screeningOne donor across every source.
“Sam Patel” in NationBuilder, “Samantha Patel” in Stripe, “S Patel” in a CSV. Caps and thresholds aggregate per person. Together resolves them to one donor so your totals are right.
Identity resolutionState rules, each with their own caps.
Commonwealth rules are live today, with state regimes rolling out. Each has its own caps, thresholds, and disclosure periods. Together tracks them as configuration, so coverage grows without you changing a thing.
Multi-regime coverageThe disclosure return, already assembled.
When a disclosure is due, the report should already exist. Together keeps an audit-ready record of every disclosable gift, every donor total, and every source, assembled from your data rather than written by hand before the deadline.
Audit-ready recordsNationBuilder stays your system of record.
Your supporters, your tags, your walk lists, your organising: all of that can live in NationBuilder, exactly as it does today. Together reads your donation data and adds the Australian electoral compliance layer on top.
Compliance sits as an add-on on top of your Together plan. You keep the CRM your team already knows, and add the one capability it was never designed to give you.
